These lights may run on solar and energy is conserved by turning the light on only when a vehicle or a person passes through. Similarly, in traffic signals, cars send real time information to the signals thus enabling to switch lights as per requirement.

Even buildings are made smart with the application of IoT. Smart buildings enhance security and decrease energy consumption. Also, proper maintenance of assets is ensured and thus the overall health of its surroundings. Energy monitoring systems, water level monitoring systems and safety and security systems come under smart buildings solution.
